Denon DCD2700: I have been a big fan of Denon CD players for a number of years.I used a DCD1500MKII for many years with good results. When Denon announced their Alpha Processor technology and made it available in an affordable CD player the DCD2700 then I purchased one in Aug 1993. It has been playing wonderfully, tracks with precision and plays certain CD's that the former unit could not read. The sound is fantastic (To my ears anyway), and what is most noticeable is the smooth and supple sound plus the realism of fading notes(EX: fading resonances of a piano key after it has been struck). With the rapid advances in digital technology, what was state of the art for me in 1993, has probably been bettered by certain CD players but at considerably higher cost. I was proud to have one of the first DCD2700 units and today continue to enjoy trouble-free great sounding music from my Denon.
