The RS i is an 8" 2-way ported speaker with an open-ceiling enclosure design that delivers extended low-end response (48 Hz) and optimal off-axis performance (up to 10 kHz, EASE documented). SoundTube's proprietary BroadBeam11® waveguide tweeter system delivers consistent high-performance audio across the operating bandwidth. The RS i speaker design incorporates a low-profile grille, proprietary M8 motor-board and 6-position tap switch with voice coil/8 Ohm direct. Hanging hardware is included and features SpeedClamp self-locking cable grip for fast, easy and secure installation.

Designed for indoor and outdoor background to foreground SPL applications, the RS i includes a single point mounting system for rapid open-ceiling installations. The 100° broad dispersion pattern (1 kHz - 10 kHz, EASE documented), true low-end response (48 Hz, -10 dB) and high sensitivity (89  dB 1W/1M) make the RS  ideal for big box stores, fitness centers, sports bars, multi-purpose rooms, churches, airports, theme parks, ballrooms, convention centers, casinos and other open-ceiling applications requiring background to foreground SPL.

• Patented BroadBeam® dispersion technology allows fewer speakers to cover more area with full-frequency sound.

• Included with every new RSi speaker is a fast-action, four-pin Euroblock connector that speeds up wiring, allows simplified daisy-chaining of speakers and provides the option for pre-wiring where "division of labor" codes exist.

• Installation hardware, including hanging cables, snap-link, fast-adjusting cable clamps and wire ties, is packaged with each RSi speaker.

• New speed-tap power settings save customers time and money on ordering, inventory tracking, installation and system tuning.

• 25, 70.7 and 100 Volt transformer options with voice coil/8 Ohm direct.

• High-frequency driver protection with automatic reset.

• Durable construction, powder-coated grille and terminal weather boot allow for indoor or outdoor installations.

• Sonically matched with SoundTube's new CMi (in ceiling) and SMi (surface mount) speakers for applications requiring combinations of hanging and mounted speakers.

• May be used in conjunction with RS1001i Subwoofer for applications requiring additional bass.

• May be surface-mounted to walls, beams or poles with optional bracket.
