Si tratta di un amplificatore di produzione cinese , un push pull di EL34 , tutto di colore nero , con una comoda protezione per le valvole , e con la possibilità di regolazione del volume.

Va subito detto che questo e un finale , quindi il suo uso specifico sarebbe con un preamplificatore , io sinceramente lo provato in entrambi i modi , con buoni risultati .. ma per quello leggete sotto.

Le valvole sono quelle classiche di produzione cinese , che molti disprezzano , io sinceramente le trovo di qualità normale , in questo caso per assicurare un perfetto funzionamento sono tutte testate.

Le connessioni sono di buona qualità , troviamo l'uscita per diffusori si ad 8 che 4 ohm , la vaschetta con fusibile e l'entrata RCA con connettori dorati.

Con il preamplificatore il prodotto ha risposto benissimo , suono caldo tipico di queste valvole , buona linearità e ottima ricostruzione della scena , senza preamplificatore , usandolo come integrato l'ascolto e sempre piacevole forse meno raffinato e meno lineare ma sempre ottimo in rapporto alla qualità/prezzo.

Sicuramente una macchina fantastica per che vuole cominciare ad assaporare il fascino delle valvole , con una macchina compatta , di facile posizionamento , di buona potenza e sopratutto con un costo veramente abbordabile.

ho fatto diverse prove di ascolto con i miei cd preferiti - ho anche provato a collegare direttamente il lettore all'amplificatore e la conclusione è che l'ampli produce un suono veramente fantastico!

sono particolarmente soddisfatto soprattutto per quanto riguarda le frequenza medio-alte che hanno perso quella sfumatura leggermente metallica tipica del suono digitale

il suono in generale è pastoso e caldo senza assolutamente perdere di dettaglio e di immagine

la prova che mi ha veramente esaltato è stata quella fatta con i cd di Glenn Gould (suites francesi e inglesi)

When the extremely cheap Chinese valve amplifiers started appearing on eBay I became very curious about them, so I bought one to see what they sound like and how they were made. I avoided the amps with a lots of gold anodising and mirror-polished stainless steel and chose a rather plain but workmanlike-looking Dynavox VR-70E 40 watt PP amplifier with 2 × CF2 driver/splitters and 4 × EL34 power valves. It arrived in just 3 days from Germany and, to be honest, it was so good right from the off, I promptly bought another one for possible future experimentation purposes - they are cheaper than the equivalent pile of loose components!

This amplifier cost about £250 including delivery from Germany - which is not a lot of money for a valve amplifier! It has been designed in Germany where it is also called 'Audio Institute' and they are built in China.

Build quality is really quite excellent and they have a good, solid feel to them. Fit and finish is well up to expectations and internally they are very neat with a good, clear layout. The components look to be at least perfectly adequate and the transformers are particularly impressive in terms of weight and size. The soldering looks to be of a generally high standard and the PCB tracks are reassuringly wide. The wiring is particularly neat and tidy and very well-dressed with plenty of cable ties. I have to say it - if I had built this amp myself I would be very pleased with it.

The sound of this (nominally) 40wpc EL34 amp is was almost exactly what I expected and hoped it would be on the Chinese valves - strong, sharp and clear and very pleasant indeed with a robust bass and glittering treble. The Chinese valves take a fairly long time to settle in (at least 6 weeks normal use) so I swapped them for a set of brand new JJ-Tesla EL34s and a pair of NOS Mullard ECF82s in one amp and a set of old, mellow (but still powerful) used 5881s in the other with the excellent Chinese CF2s remaining.

There was a loose screw trapped inside one of the amps when it arrived which does hint of a hasty build and a possible lack of proper Quality Control, but the extremely low price of this amp is not to be forgotten - built in the UK, the same amp could quite easily cost 4 or 5 times the price, so I wasn't too bothered. In all other respects the amp is very robust and well-made. I suspected, correctly it appears, that the money in these amplifiers has gone on the insides and the rather plain exterior houses a fairly impressive bit of kit, for the money.

They have now run perfectly well for a number of months without any problems whatsoever and, all in all, I would heartily recommend them to anyone who wants to explore the possibilities of valve amplification without spending a lot of money!!
